Terms of Service

1. The service

Smart Merge PDF is a PDF workspace to merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign, fill in and redact documents, with an AI assistant that can read documents with your permission and prepare work (such as assembling files, extracting data to Excel or checking a document set). The basic PDF tools work without an account; the AI assistant needs one.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity in it. Provide accurate information and tell us if your account is misused. One account per person; accounts may not be shared.

3. Plans, AI credits and fair use

• Prices, plan contents and free-plan limits are listed on the Pricing page and may change. Price changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.
• AI credits are used at the real cost of the AI model for each task. Monthly credits refill at the start of each monthly period and do not roll over.
• Yearly plans are paid once for 12 months, with credits refilled every month.
• Top-up credits are used after the monthly credits and stay valid for 12 months from your last top-up.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money and cannot be transferred to another account.

4. Payment and renewal

• Card (Creem): charged in USD by Creem as the merchant of record, including your local tax. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
• Rupiah (Midtrans): prices exclude 11% VAT (PPN), added at checkout. A payment covers one period (monthly or yearly) and never renews automatically.
• Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.

5. AI output

The AI assistant can make mistakes. The app shows proposals and results (such as extracted data, new file names or checklist results) for you to review before they are applied or exported. You are responsible for checking them before relying on them, especially for financial, legal or official purposes.

6. Your content

Your documents and data remain yours. We claim no rights to your content and process it only as needed to run the features you use (see the Privacy Policy). You confirm that you have the right to process the documents you use with the service.

7. Prohibited use

• Using the service for unlawful activity, including forging documents or infringing the rights of others.
• Circumventing plan limits or allowances, creating multiple accounts to obtain free credits, or abusing the payment system.
• Disrupting, overloading, hacking or reverse-engineering the service or our servers.
• Reselling or renting out access to the service without our written permission.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted. Features may change, be added or be discontinued. We will give notice of changes that negatively affect a paid plan you are using.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, data loss caused by your device, or losses from using AI output without checking it. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Keep backups of important documents.

10. Termination

You can stop using the service and ask for your account to be deleted at any time via support@smartmergepdf.com. Payment obligations already incurred remain.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes are first settled amicably; failing that, by the district court where our business is domiciled, without affecting your rights as a consumer under applicable law.
